Pre-installation for remote functions in the Mercedes me App**
The Mercedes me App makes it easy to control the charging processes with your smartphone. You receive information on the charging status as well as a transparent overview of your charging history. For this purpose, the wallbox is simply connected to the Internet via the customer’s own WLAN, LAN or, if required, via LTE-M***.

Safety has the highest priority.
The integrated components (6mA DC fault current detector) provide additional protection for the vehicle, the home installation and the Wallbox during charging.Furthermore, the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox can be unlocked or locked using the Mercedes me App or RFID card (available soon) to protect against unauthorised use.**

Simply up-to-date – Over-the-Air updates
The Mercedes-Benz Wallbox can run “over-the-air” software updates via the customer’s own WLAN, LAN or, if required, via LTE-M***.For example, in the future you can get new functions for integrating the wallbox into an energy management system.”Over-the-Air” software functions must have been enabled in the Mercedes me App.**
